Yvette Simpson is running for Mayor of Cincinnati because she wants to make a difference. She faces Rob Richardson Jr. and the incumbent, Mayor John Cranley in a primary on May 2nd ( If you live in Cincinnati you have until April 3rd, 2017 to get registered). The top two voter-getters will move on to the election in November.
Yvette and I discuss a range of topics including inclusionary development, black wealth building, the heroin epidemic, her record as a member of Cincinnati City-Council and much more. She answers to questions such as: Did Rob Richardson ask her to step out of the race? How would her administration be different than that of Mayor Cranley and or Rob Richardson Jr? Would she do the same thing at Bockfest? How important is the further development of the streetcar/train?
